In the same vein as my previous series on hymns, I am planning a series on contemporary worship songs. To that end, I am asking each of you to share with me those contemporary songs from church that you have found most inspiring, that have spoken most deeply to you. This will allow me to compile a list that I can begin to work from as we look for how God can be glorified through them.

I am a committed Christian who was blessed to grow up in a strong supportive family in rural Iowa.I have spent many years living in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with my wife where we raised three children, now adults. I am a graduate of Trinity College (Trinity International University), with a B.A. Youth Ministry, and of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a MDiv, concentration in Christian Education, and a DMin in Pastoral Ministries, focusing my work on Homiletics. I worked extensively in the field of Univeristy Operations, with functional and managerial experince in Security, Maintenance, and Grounds. I have been active in my church teaching, music, and pulpit supply. I have served as the chapel service coordinator at a local hospital, including being the primay weekly preacher. In addition, I served as Chaplain for local Boy Scout troop. My passion is teaching others about God, helping them grow in their faith and encouraging their involvement in the local community.
