The Common Core State Standard for our schools is here. While on the surface a minimum standard that a students should seem to be able to live up to seems like a good idea, there is a deeper problem when you look more closely. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Dept. of Education for pushing the Common Core State Standards and assessments on states.

I am a committed Christian who was blessed to grow up in a strong supportive family in rural Iowa.I have spent many years living in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with my wife where we raised three children, now adults. In addition, I served as Chaplain for local Boy Scout troop. My passion is teaching others about God, helping them grow in their faith and encouraging their involvement in the local community. My area of specialty are preaching, public speaking, strategic planning, emergency management, community service, family ministry and youth ministry.
